When to Seek Additional Support
If you have concerns that your child is not making adequate progress toward grade-level goals, we encourage you to schedule a conference with your child’s classroom teacher. This conversation provides an opportunity to:
- Share your observations and concerns
- Review your child’s current progress
- Collaborate on a plan to support your child more effectively
Possible next steps may include:
- Take-home activities to reinforce specific skills
- Regular progress reports to keep you informed about academic performance and behavior
- Tutoring after school with your student’s teacher
- Recommendations for tutoring or additional evaluations through the school district or your insurance provider
Your child’s classroom teacher is your primary partner in understanding daily academic growth. Our Resource Specialist works closely with teachers and families to provide additional layers of support when needed, always with the goal of helping students succeed within the classroom setting.
