STREAM - Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Art, and Math

STREAM is an extension of STEM. It is an acronym for Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, the Arts, and Math. At Saint John Bosco Catholic School, our mission is to educate the whole child; therefore, with the principles of STEM we have infused Religion across all subjects and added the Arts.

Our STREAM program allows our students to discover their academic talents and gifts through project-based learning. The students are presented lessons on how to use various tools and resources, then coached to focus on critical thinking skills and utilize the knowledge from all their subjects to accomplish tasks and projects. Along with project based learning, our students work together in groups to learn valuable social and communication skills.

Finger Rosary Project

Our students learn how to use TinkerCAD and create 3D models using polygons. The students also research a patron saint and place symbols for them on their finger rosary to personalize it.

Water Rocket Project

Our students learn about the Engineering Design Process and apply it to creating a working water rocket.
