Dear Parents,
Report cards will be sent via email today by 5:00 pm, and conferences are scheduled next week on February 10, 11, 12, and 13. Please be aware of early dismissal (12:30pm) on all four days to facilitate conferences between teachers and parents. Ensuring prompt pickup or registering with Innovation Learning for aftercare is crucial to allow teachers to start their conferences on schedule.
As we enter into the 3rd Trimester, I want to remind everyone how essential punctuality and regular attendance are to our students’ success throughout the school year. Arriving on time is essential for setting a positive tone for the day. When students are punctual, they can participate in morning prayer, announcements, and engage fully in the initial lessons that lay the groundwork for the entire day’s learning. When students are on time they will benefit from the inspirational start of the day and be ready to absorb new concepts that build throughout their lessons.
It is also important to note that when a student is tardy, it disrupts the class and detracts from others' learning. A late arrival can interrupt a lesson in progress, breaking the focus and concentration of the entire class. This not only hinders the learning process for the tardy student but also impacts the academic progress of their peers.
Regular attendance is equally vital for academic and spiritual growth. When students are present every day, they can continuously build upon their knowledge and fully participate in all class activities. To ensure this consistency, we kindly ask that families plan vacations around the school calendar. For instance, scheduling trips during official school breaks means your child will not miss essential lessons, group projects, or interactive sessions that are critical to their overall development.
Your support in reinforcing punctuality and regular attendance is crucial to maintaining a productive learning environment. By working together, we can ensure that every student at St. John Bosco Catholic School has the opportunity to thrive both academically and spiritually.
Thank you for your commitment to your child’s education and for helping us uphold the values that make our school community so special.
