Dear Parents,
I hope everyone had a safe and joyful July 4th holiday and is enjoying vacation time with family.
In the last Principal Message, we shared many exciting updates about SJB. Today, I am thrilled to announce a new addition to the 2024-25 school year: "The Rosco Award." Beginning this year, one student from each grade level will be honored with The Rosco Award at the end of each month, starting in September. This award will recognize students who not only meet but exceed all of the SJB Student Learning Expectations (SLEs), which include:
The Rosco Award will be presented on the last Monday of each month during courtyard prayer. Awardees will receive the award, have their photo taken with our mascot, Rosco the Bulldog, and enjoy a special treat with the principal. Their achievements will also be announced in the Principal Message and posted on social media.
This initiative is a wonderful way to celebrate our students as they strive to follow the mission of St. John Bosco: to be the best we can be and use our God-given gifts to make the world a better place.
