IMG_0363[dropcap]C[/dropcap]atholic Elementary schools are unique faith-centered communities that integrate thinking and believing in ways that encourage intellectual growth and nurture faith and inspiration. They create a supportive and challenging climate which affirms the dignity of all persons within the school community.  Here at St. John Bosco, we integrate Catholic teaching into our daily school lives as well as our campus environment.

Prayer: St. John Bosco, you were a friend to all young people, be a friend to us. As we grow up, help us to be the best we can be. Help us to use the gifts that God has given us to make the world a better place.

St. John Bosco students are recognized as leaders in the community.  Their service to others, individually and collectively, to St. Vincent de Paul, Animal Welfare League, Catholic Relief Services, Friends of the Orphans, Special Olympics and many, many, more demonstrate the depth of understanding of altruistic behavior that Christ asks of us.

As a ministry of St Benedict Parish, we enjoy having Father Bob available to us in our daily activities and as a member of our school advisory board.  We participate as a school in weekly Mass on Fridays and have an adoration chapel on campus wherein our students are taught to spend time with Jesus, beginning at Pre-K.

The campus features the Stations of the Cross, several beautiful prayer gardens and statues of various saints which function as part of the religious curriculum and on holy days for school-wide activities. We honor St. Francis on his feast day, we celebrate the May Crowning of our Blessed Mother and light candles on the Advent wreath during that season.  Quite often you will find the school community in one of these places on campus joined together in celebration.
